Dr. Gunjan Gupta
Professor Dr. Gunjan is currently a professor at Campus Law Centre, faculty of Law, University of Delhi and has been teaching law of evidence, law of contract, law special contracts and law of banking and insurance and negotiable instruments Act. She is LLM and PhD from faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Her doctoral research is on “law relating to dishonour of cheques”. She was in the year 2013 and is presently also the editor of the Journal of campus Law Centre. At present she has been appointed as joint Proctor of University of Delhi. She represents as the university representative in the governing body of Lakshmibai College. She has also been appointed as the grievance officer under the data privacy policy by the university 2021. She is also recommended as a member of subcommittee in NCWEB for grant of financial aid for the for the academic session 2021. She was also nominated as a member expert in Law by minister of HRD for shortlisting of applications for 2016 Commonwealth scholarship in UK. She was a resource person for the five day course on “Legal literacy” for the teachers and research scholars of Delhi University organised by ILLL, of University of Delhi, in collaboration with campus Law Centre in 2021. She has given training on legal education organised by the campus Law Centre in collaboration with Delhi traffic Police. She has been a member of Joint Assessment Committee as an expert on law by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for Inspection of the affiliated colleges to the university. She was a moderator of the 7th Session on The Role of Mediation in Insurance, Banking and Financial Services in the 3rd International Conference on Mediation, April 2022. She has also contributed to the corporate life of the faculty of Law by being a member of the admission committee, faculty of Law, University of Delhi for the past many years.
She has delivered several lectures as visiting faculty on law of evidence, law of contract and law of negotiable instruments in the Innovative Institute of Education and Technology, greater Noida. She was invited by Bharati Vidyapeeth University to deliver lecture on “understanding the role and jurisprudential essence of the Evidence Act” in the year 2021. Professor Gupta has a number of research papers to her credit in the journals of national repute and has participated in many national and international seminars and conferences. She has co-authored several books like “Dishonour of Cheques” published by LEXIS-NEXIS publications and “Commentary on protection of women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005”by Vinod Nijhawan publications which have been the largest selling books on the topic in India.
